Youth Ministry

Exploring Christ's Love

Why Youth Ministry?

Catholic education and formation exists beyond sacramental preparation. When the youth encounter Christ through the beauty and truth of the Church, they will understand their role as a beloved son or daughter of God. The youth today are the future of parish life, and they can transform one another through their witness.

St. John the Evangelist Parish provides many opportunities for the youth to get involved. Here, you will find news and updates within our community and the Archdiocese of Seattle, as well as highlights of recent activities and resources for parents and family.

Please keep all of our youth in your prayers.

The Search Begins

This year, we are exploring this seven-episode series adapted by Augustine Institute, hosted by Christ Stefanick.

In it, middle and high school teens are invited to consider the deepest questions of the human heart and examine the meaning and purpose of life. The series considers death, sorrow, happiness, science, and faith. It features teen commentary and brief segments to facilitate honest conversations. The Search Begins emphasizes why a teen should care to ask life’s tough questions and, ultimately, seek an answer to this most important question: Who is Jesus Christ, and how do I respond to his invitation?

Parents, if your child misses an episode discussion, you may access this series on FORMED. Learn how to get access here.
